The NOXtec 2000 is a device that allows both semi-automatic dosing and monitoring of inhaled nitric oxide (NO).
NO is a gaseous vasodilator used primarily to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension and is delivered to the patient in a mixture with medicinal oxygen. The NOXtec 2000 delivers a fixed dose. The dose rate is determined semi-automatically once the user sets the respiratory rate and the desired dose in PPM on the screen of the device.
By continuously sampling the flow of the NO-O2 mixture delivered to the patient, the NOXtec 2000 is able to monitor the concentration of nitric oxide that the patient is receiving and whether it is within predetermined threshold values.
The NOXtec 2000 also monitors the trace amount of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in the mixture, a highly toxic gas that can compromise patient safety during the application of this therapy, so that a threshold value is not exceeded.
Independent dose module, monitoring module and user interface to ensure patient safety.
Automatic calibration of the NO, NO2 and O2 sensors, even when the equipment is dosing.
Dosing modes: Semi-automatic and manual.
It includes an emergency manual dosing mode, which can be used even when the equipment is turned off.
Negligible release of NO into the atmosphere. The device includes a purge outlet to collect and channel the waste gas.
Ethernet port for technical assistance in remote mode.
